Speaker's Profile

Ms Sofat joined HSBC in June 2007 with primary coverage of Vietnam and Sri Lanka. She also covers a number of other countries in the region with special emphasis on Indonesia and Thailand.
Prior to that, she worked in IDEAglobal focusing on Australia, New Zealand and Japan. She has her PhD in Macroeconomics from Cardiff Business School where she also taught.
